Backing up Cloud Pak for Data volumes

Create volume backups with the IBM Cloud Pak for Data volume backup and restore utility to protect your data.

Depending on the storage provider that you are using, you can create volume snapshots or volume backups.

Note: Some Cloud Pak for Data services use a separate backup mechanism than what is described in the following sections. For more information, see Services that support backup and restore.
