Using the custom image in projects

After the custom image was uploaded by the Cloud Pak for Data administrator, it is available in Watson Studio and can be selected when you create an environment template. You need Admin or Editor permissions on the project to create an environment template.

To create an environment template that uses a custom image:

  1. From the Manage tab of your project, select the Environments page, and click New template under Templates.
  2. Enter a name and a description.
  3. Select the environment type, for example Default or GPU.
  4. Choose the hardware configuration size and select the custom image that was created under the Software version dropdown. The dropdown also lists the JSON file name you provided in parentheses.

Note: If you created a custom image for JupyterLab, you will only be able to select the custom image in projects with Git integration. If you created a custom image for Jupyter notebooks, it can be selected in all projects, with and without Git integration.
