Adding an IBM® mail support for Microsoft Outlook subscription to a user account

To enable a user to connect to the service by using a Microsoft Outlook client, add the subscription to the user’s account.

About this task

The following steps describe how to add a subscription to the account of a user who already has a SmartCloud Notes® subscription. You can also add the subscription when you first provision the user with a SmartCloud Notes subscription.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the service as an administrator.
  2. If your account also has the User role, click Admin > Manage Organization.
  3. In the navigation pane, click User Accounts.
  4. Click the arrow next to a user's name and select Edit User Account.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In the Subscription Add-ons section, select the MS Outlook Access subscription.
  7. Click Save.

What to do next

The user can now install and set up the Microsoft Outlook client to connect to the service. Users will create a new profile in Microsoft Outlook that syncs with their SmartCloud Notes mail. For information, see the user documentation.
