Help screens
OMEGAMON provides help screens that give you a context-sensitive explanation of any OMEGAMON menu or screen display when you press PF1.
For example, if you are in the Profile Maintenance and Session Controls Menu and you want help, press PF1 to see a display similar to the following figure:

> PROFILE MAINTENANCE AND SESSION CONTROLS -- HELP
> This menu allows you to dynamically control your session options. For users
> of past releases, it replaces the OMUSER module.
> OMEGAMON ships a default profile, so you may start up your session
> immediately. If you are the product installer, you may customize a profile
> and save it as the installation profile; this will then be the default
> profile for everyone at your site.
> As an OMEGAMON user, you may also create and save your own individual user
> profile. You do so by:
> * Selecting the paths on this menu that contain the settings
> you want to change.
> * Setting the values as appropriate for your needs.
> * Then, saving a new profile by selecting PROFILE MAINT on this menu.
> To change an option for your current session, select the option from the
> menu, find the setting you wish to change, and type the new setting over the
> old setting. The change takes effect immediately for the duration of the
> current OMEGAMON session (for all but startup options). To make the change
> permanent, save your profile by selecting the SAVE/DELETE option on this
> menu or pressing PF22 from any screen.
> These menus also provide quick access for some options that are frequently
> changed, such as color or logging. In these cases, the menu selection
> activates the option for you. Afterwards, you will see a confirmation
> message at the bottom of the menu. These changes are in effect for the
> duration of this session only, unless you save your profile with the
> SAVE/DELETE option or PF22.
> For an explanation of what each option means, select the option and then
> press PF1 for help.
> Please note that for the Profile Facility to function, you need a file
> allocated to DDNAME RKOMPROF. If you wish to save profiles, you need a file
> allocated to DDNAME RKOMPFSV. Both RKOMPROF and RKOMPFSV must be partitioned
> datasets and must be blocked VB with LRECL=3332 and BLKSIZE=3336.

To view additional help, press PF1 again from any help screen for information about the various OMEGAMON general help facilities.
For example, press PF1 from the previous help screen to display a general OMEGAMON® help menu similar to the following one:

From a general help screen, press PF3 to return to the previous help screen. Press PF3 again to return to the screen from which you initially requested help.
