CSA Analyzer

The CSA (Common Storage Area) Analyzer is an OMEGAMON feature that monitors and analyzes common storage usage and growth in the following areas: common service area (CSA), extended common service area (ECSA), system queue area (SQA), and extended service queue area (ESQA).

The CSA Analyzer generates displays on overall common storage usage, high level graphic displays on usage trends, and reports on growth at the job or system level. It can generate detailed, itemized reports on outstanding getmain requests, identifying the user, the getmain area, and the return address of the getmain request. The CSA Analyzer also identifies users of a particular block of common storage.

Included within the CSA Analyzer is a recovery facility that identifies and frees Common Storage Area obtained by a job that is no longer active.
