Enabling split panes

When split panes are enabled, you can see combined views, lists, and details in the IBM® Maximo® Technician app.

About this task

By default, split panes is not enabled but can be by editing two properties, one in the app-feature.properties file and one in the app.xml file.

Split panes can be enabled for the IBM Maximo Technician app only.

If a calibration-enabled work order is displayed in the right pane and lookup data is still being downloaded, the Work Order Details view does not show the data sheet sections. If you want to work with calibration work orders in split pane mode, complete a download of the lookup data, and then restart the app.

Procedure

  1. Open the app-feature.properties file in the Anywhere\MaximoAnywhere\apps\app_name folder, locate the splitpane.enabled property, and set this property to true.
  2. Build and deploy the application.
