Using containers

Containers provide a way to deploy a full FileNet® Content Manager environment in a fraction of the time required for a standard on-premises installation. You can use containers exclusively, or to provide additional environments to your standard on-premises installations.

The FileNet P8 platform supports containerization, enabling developers to create isolated environments for applications and services. Containers offer benefits like consistent environments, resource efficiency, scalability, portability, and rapid development and deployment. The content services in a container environment provides enterprise-level scalability and flexibility for handling complex content and business processes, with features like business object management, application development, events and subscriptions, lifecycles, property and full-text search, bulk processing, versioning, classification, entry templates, XML content management, content storage, import/export, retention and holds, and customizable user interfaces.
