Enabling audit logging
To enable the logging of events that occur for objects in an object store, configure the following items: the object store, each class that you want to audit, and optionally individual properties.
About this task
Auditing can have performance implications for your applications because it requires an extra database interaction. The performance impact of logging events is related to the following factors:
- The number of event objects that are configured for a particular class.
- The number of instances created from a class that is configured for audit logging.
If you increase the number and volume of audited events, monitor your system performance.
