You can enable or disable inheritance from a parent folder
to a child folder.
Procedure
To allow or disallow inheritable parent permissions to
a child folder, using Administration Console for Content Platform
Engine:
- Log in to Administration Console for Content Platform
Engine as
an object store administrator (object_store_admin).
- Under the Browse menu, select the
folder, and select its General tab.
- Set the Inherit parent permissions property
to True or False.
- Changing to True: allows the inherited permissions
from the parent folder to propagate to this folder.
- Changing to False: prevents the object from inheriting
permissions from the parent in the future.
Results
Only those permissions in the parent folder that are inheritable
will actually be inherited by the child folder.
For
the Root folder, which by definition has no parent folder, setting
the Inherit parent permissions property has no effect.
