About access rights
FileNet® P8
provides a full-featured system of access rights that let you control access to objects.
What are access rights?
Access rights are made up primarily of Access Control Entries (ACEs) that are organized into Access Control Lists (ACLs).
ACE source: Default, Direct, Inherited, Template
Every ACE has a source, either Default, Direct, Inherited, or Template.
ACE security levels
A security "level" is a predefined collection of rights which simplify applying and administering individual rights.
Allow or Deny and order of evaluation
Each ACE has one access type: either Allow or Deny.
