You can create, apply, and administer security on objects
that are created by Content Platform Engine.
Security policies
Security policies contain security templates that you can
use to apply and manage the security applied to documents, custom
objects, and folders.
Administering markings
Primarily intended for records management applications,
markings provide a way to define a level of security on objects in
addition to the normal FileNet® P8 security
model (ACLs, default instance security, security policies, security
parents, inheritable depth).
The Security Map wizard (Enterprise Manager only)
With the Security Map wizard you can map the security policies
for user and group accounts, also called security principals, in one
domain to the same or different accounts in another domain. The mapping
process is accomplished by updating the security principals contained
in a specified XML import file according to the valid principals defined
in the current realm.
The Security Script wizard (Enterprise Manager only)
The Security Script wizard allows you to assign security
roles to user and group accounts in order to create security principals
for the objects in an object store. The security roles to be assigned
are defined in an XML information file, which also identifies the
VBS security script file to run on the selected accounts. The XML
file establishes communication between the wizard and the security
script, by enabling the wizard to understand how to apply the defined
security roles to the selected user and group accounts in order to
create the security principals.
