Resync of lineage metadata (IBM Knowledge Catalog)

Resynchronize your catalog metadata to start seeing the Knowledge Graph.

Complete catalog resynchronization after you upgrade to Version 5.1 from Version 4.7.3. You can see your assets in the Lineage tab.

Resync of lineage metadata

To resync a specific catalog's metadata:

  1. Run the following command:
oc edit cj catalog-api-lineage-sync-cronjob
  1. Find a section:
             - name: dbs_to_sync`
              `value: '[]'
  1. Specify what catalogs to resyc.
    • To resync all catalogs keep the value empty.
             - name: dbs_to_sync`
          `value: '[]'
    • Enter the ID of one catalog in brackets to resync only one catalog. For example:
             - name: dbs_to_sync`
          `value: '[bbf325c5-3452-440b-81c1-8b68eaafa5e5]'
    • Enter IDs of many catalogs in brackets separated by a comma to resync many catalogs. For example:
             - name: dbs_to_sync`
          `value: '[bbf325c5-3452-440b-81c1-8b68eaafa5e5, gga523d4-4658-553a-22c4-9f86efdfb6e6]'
  2. Run the following command to finish resyncing:
oc create job -n ${PROJECT_CPD_INST_OPERANDS} --from=cronjob/catalog-api-lineage-sync-cronjob lineage-job
