Adding Microsoft Azure Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) services
When you add the Microsoft™ Azure Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) account in IBM® Cloud Cost and Asset Management (ICCAM), you can then connect to your cloud accounts for this provider. Before adding a Microsoft Azure account to ICCAM, ensure a Microsoft Azure account has already been created at https://azure.microsoft.com/. If you need to set up a Microsoft Azure account, refer to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ for instructions.
Note: This feature works only with ICCAM Fix Pack 3.2.0.2. Follow the instructions to upgrade to ICCAM Fix Pack 3.2.0.2.
You must have a CSP production and primary account. The CSP provider can set the billing date to be the first of each month on the Partner Center portal. By setting the billing date as the first of the month, the date will be in sync with the ICCAM cycle.
Ensure that you have the following billing credentials:
- Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) ID
- Domain
- Key
- AppID
Ensure that you have API access to the Partner Center portal.
Ensure that you have the following credentials:
- Subscription ID
- Tenant ID
- Client ID
- Client Key
Create a Microsoft Azure CSP customer.
For more information about CSP accounts, billing credentials, API access, and CSP customer creation, refer to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/.
Setting up a Microsoft Azure account in ICCAM
To add Microsoft Azure accounts, complete the following steps:
-
Using a CAM_Admin or Information Technology Infrastructure and Operations Manager (ITIO) user role, log in to the system.
Note: The system takes you to Settings > Providers & Accounts when no provider data is available.
-
Click Add Account. The Add Account screen displays.
- Select Azure. The screen refreshes for you to add account information.
- Enter the billing account name.
- Enter the Microsoft Azure billing API credentials that were created during Microsoft Azure setup.
- Click Connect. A validation message displays when you connect. After the first connection, ICCAM displays a checkbox that confirms that the credentials are valid. Provider accounts with invalid credentials display a warning symbol.
- Enter information on the Basic Information and Asset Accounts pages.
-
When finished, click Connect Asset Account.
Notes:
- For PaaS accounts, you must have entered the PaaS API key in the API Key field on the Account Details screen.
- When you provide the account credentials, the system checks the currency for the account. If the currency is not the designated corporate currency, the system prompts you for conversion rates.
