Cascading Delete/Update Confirmation

Optim™ performs a cascading delete/update check during processing of an Insert Request, and displays the Cascading Delete/Update Confirmation dialog if the following conditions are true:

  • The Warn on Cascade Delete/Update option in either Product or Personal Options must be set to Runtime or Always. (See the Installation and Configuration Guide and the Common Elements Manual.)
  • All Tables or Mixed must be selected for Delete Options on the General tab of the Insert Request Editor.
  • The cascade delete or update must affect at least one table that is not explicitly included in the Insert Process.

Click OK to continue processing the Insert Request, or click Cancel to stop processing and return to the Insert Request Editor.

For details on the Cascading Delete/Update Confirmation dialog, see the Common Elements Manual.
