Creating a Column Map

Use the Column Map Editor to create a column map.

When you create a new column map, the grid is populated automatically on the basis of your selections in the New Column Map dialog. You edit the values in the first grid column to map columns. The name of the table, for which columns are mapped, is displayed at the top of the Column Map Editor.

  1. In the main window, select Definitions > Column Map.
The New Column Map dialog opens.
  2. From the Validation Rules area, select Move/Archive.
  3. Specify the name of the source table containing the columns you want to map:
    • If you select the File option, supply the file name and specify the name of a table in that file.
    • If you select the Database option, supply the name of the database table.
  4. Specify the name of the destination table containing the columns you want to map.
  5. Click OK to open the Column Map Editor.
  6. Modify the source column names, as needed.
  7. Select File > Save to open the Save the Column Map dialog.
  8. Any pseudo columns that represent attached files do not appear in the editor. However, the pseudo columns can be mapped as source columns and are used whether or not file attachments are processed.
