.NETCompute Node sample

The .NETCompute Node sample is a message flow sample application that shows how a message flow can be used to transform messages using code which has been written in C#.

Support for the .NETCompute node is available on Windows only. The node runs assemblies that are executed in the Microsoft .NET Framework Common Language Runtime. You can write code for the .NETCompute node in C#, VB, F#, C++/CLI or JScript.

The sample specifically demonstrates:

• How the .NETCompute node is used in message flow creation.
• How prebuilt .NET framework assemblies can be deployed to the broker.

Read about the sample

You can set up the sample in one of the following ways:

• Import and deploy the sample

  This option imports the sample files into your workspace and deploys the sample to the broker. This option also sets up additional resources for the sample, for example, WebSphere MQ queues. There is also a manual step required involving the .NET Assembly file and the creation of a configurable service. This is described in the section Preparing for the deployment of the .NETCompute node sample.

• Import the sample

  This option imports the sample files into your workspace. Additional manual steps might be required to configure the sample for testing.

You can import or import and deploy a sample only when you use the information center that is integrated with the IBM Integration Toolkit.

Run the sample

When you have finished with the sample, you can remove it in one of the following ways:

• Remove the sample from the integration node, but leave its resources in the workspace
• Remove the sample from the integration node and the workspace
