SMP/E CSI application programming interface

This documentation describes the SMP/E CSI application program interface (GIMAPI), which provides access to data stored and used by SMP/E. This data is stored in a VSAM data set called the CSI (Consolidated Software Inventory). The purpose of GIMAPI is to provide you with read-only access to data maintained by SMP/E in the CSI.

Restriction: GIMAPI cannot be called from within an SMP/E user exit routine.
