Modifying the properties of event types

With the Application Linking Manager task, you can modify the handlers that are associated with an event type. Specifically, you can define new handlers for an event type, enable or disable handlers, set a handler as the default handler, and delete existing handlers.

To modify other properties of event types, complete one or more of the following actions:

To modify the ID, display name, description, or parameters for an event type, delete the event type and create a new event type that specifies the correct values, or contact the company that owns the application that registered the event type and request the desired modifications.
To modify the type, ID, name, URL, or launch context for an event handler, delete the handler and add a new handler that specifies the correct values.
