z/OS DFSMS OAM Planning, Installation, and Storage Administration Guide for Object Support
SC23-6866-00

CBRPBIND performs a DB2 BIND for the packages that are needed to access the OAM object storage group tables. The use of DB2 packages allows user defined qualifiers for the object storage group table definitions. For release-to-release consistency, the job provides binds packages for 100 object storage groups (GROUP00–GROUP99). For z/OS DFSMS, the 100 Object storage group restriction no longer applies, so this job must be modified to match your installation requirements. You must run this job before executing CBRABIND, CBRHBIND, or CBRIBIND.
Note: For systems that are sharing DB2 within an OAMplex, the CBRPBIND job only needs to be run on one system in the OAMplex and, if you have mixed z/OS versions on your OAMplex, it should be run on the system that is running on the highest level of z/OS.
