Storage class identifier table

z/OS DFSMS OAM Planning, Installation, and Storage Administration Guide for Object Support
SC23-6866-00

Each object stored in the OAM storage hierarchy is assigned a storage class. This assignment is recorded in the object’s directory entry as a storage class identifier. The storage class identifier table maps the identifier to the storage class name (see Table 1).

The storage class identifier table has one index: a unique, ascending cluster index on the storage class identifier.
