Stale NFS File Handle ExplanationA file handle is used by the client and server sides of the NFS to specify a particular file or prefix. A stale file handle occurs when the name is no longer valid, possibly due to one of the these conditions:
User responseFor case 1, unmount and remount the file system or prefix. For case 2, if SAF, or if SAFEXP security is being used, reenter the mvslogin command and retry the request as follows:
