CSNBMVR and CSNBMVR1 provide identical functions. When choosing
which service to use, consider the following:
- CSNBMVR requires the application-supplied
text to reside in the caller’s primary address space. Also, a
program using CSNBMVR adheres to the IBM Common Cryptographic Architecture:
Cryptographic Application Programming Interface.
The callable service
name for AMODE(64) invocation is CSNEMVR.
- CSNBMVR1 allows the application-supplied
text to reside either in the caller’s primary address space or
in a data space. This can allow you to verify more data with one call.
However, a program using CSNBMVR1 does not adhere to the IBM Common
Cryptographic Architecture: Cryptographic Application Programming
Interface , and may need to be modified before it can run with other
cryptographic products that follow this programming interface.
The
callable service name for AMODE(64) invocation is CSNEMVR1.
For
CSNBMVR1, text_id_in is an access list entry token
(ALET) parameter of the data space containing the application-supplied
text.
