Converting from volume reserves to global resource serialization

If you are using volume reserves, you can convert selected DFSMShsm volume reserves to global enqueues with GRS. You identify resources by specifying resource names (RNAMES) in a GRS resource name list (RNL). The resource names are organized into groupings of one QNAME and one or more associated RNAMEs. The RNAMEs are grouped into exclusion lists or conversion lists according to the priority of other programs sharing the volume with DFSMShsm-processed data sets. Figure 1 and Figure 1 show the resource names for which DFSMShsm issues reserves.

Some resources must not be converted from volume reserves. Figure 1 and Figure 1 each show two tables.
