The starter set defines the MCDS, BCDS, and OCDS with VSAM SHAREOPTIONS(3 3) to allow DFSMShsm to be started in a multiple DFSMShsm host environment with GRS or equivalent function. If you are starting more than one DFSMShsm host in an z/OS image, you can use this share-option strategy. DFSMShsm provides an appropriate multiple processor serialization protocol to ensure read and update integrity of the CDSs accessed by multiple DFSMShsm processors. You can use this share option to access the CDSs in RLS mode.
