The output tape volumes generated by aggregate backup processing
can be defined to RACF® during
ARECOVER processing. This is done when the ABR record is created by
the PREPARE, VERIFY, or EXECUTE functions and when the following conditions
are met:
- RACF is active at the recovery
site
- You have defined TAPEVOL resource class HSMABR at the recovery
site
- You have specified SETSYS TAPESECURITY(RACF) or SETSYS TAPESECUIRTY(RACFINCLUDE)
Note: Tapes containing DFSMShsm output files that are
recovered by DFSMShsm are also RACF-protected at the recovery site
when the preceding conditions are met.
ADDSD 'outputdatasetprefix.**'
If you use RACF DATASET
class profiles instead of TAPESECURITY(RACF) to protect the tapes and create the DATASET
profiles, you could define ADDSD, which specifies that tapes created
during the aggregate backup process are protected. You need a profile
for each aggregate group you have defined that uses a different aggregate
group prefix.
