During backup processing, DFSMShsm processes individual SMS-managed
data sets to comply with the attributes specified in the management
classes to which the data sets are associated. Management class backup
attributes let you specify:
- Whether to use concurrent copy
- How often the data sets can be backed up
- How to guarantee frequency of backup
- How many backup versions (maximum) to keep
- How long to keep backup versions
- Who can back up data sets by command
- Whether to perform automatic backup
