Explanation: FORCENONSMS is an optional parameter
that forces a data set to be recovered to a non-SMS-managed volume.
Use this parameter if SMS is not active or if SMS is active and you
need to return a data set to non-SMS-managed status.
Defaults: None.
Note: - If SMS is not active, a recover request for an SMS-managed data
set fails unless the FORCENONSMS parameter is specified on the RECOVER
command.
- A non-SMS target volume must be known to DFSMShsm to complete
the request. This can be obtained through:
- The TOVOLUME and UNIT parameters if the data was backed up as
SMS.
- The volume from which the data set was backed up if backed up
as non-SMS.
- The volume from which the data set migrated if migrated as non-SMS.
