RECOVER: Releasing recovery and restore

Explanation

RECOVER is an optional parameter specifying whether DFSMShsm should release all recovery processing or only tape data set recovery and restore processing.

The parameter of the RECOVER parameter is explained:

TAPEDATASET: Releases only tape data set recover and restore processing tasks.

Defaults

If you specify the RECOVER parameter with any other parameters, then the default is to release all recover and restore processing tasks.

Usage notes:

You cannot release the subfunction RECOVER(TAPEDATASET) if the main function RECOVER is held.
