Device detail
To view detailed information for a particular device and a list of files allocated on that device, place the cursor on a volser on the DASD Users panel, as shown in the previous figure, and press PF11.
The Examine One Device panel is displayed.

The DEV statement and the statements below it display
the following device information:
- DEV ccc
- Device address.
- DBsy
- D indicates device busy and S indicates suspended channel program.
- IOQ
- Depth of I/O queue, where a plus sign (+) indicates more than 9.
- IO#
- I/O number, where a greater than sign (>) indicates the start of I/O.
- CPU
- Vertical bar (|) indicates dispatchable tasks and period (.) indicates non dispatchable tasks (no ready TCBs).
- User
- User of the device.
- Cyl
- Cylinder being accessed.
- Nrdy
- N indicates that the device is not ready.
- Resv
- R indicates that the device is reserved.
You can also obtain detailed information on a specific device by entering the DASD Detail option (D) on the I/O path or fast path I.D from any panel. The DASD Detail panel is displayed in the following figure; you can then enter the device address.
