Fixing scheduling issues on the Scheduling dashboard

When optimization runs, sometimes work records cannot be scheduled because they do not meet the scheduling criteria that are defined in the optimization settings. You can update these work records on the dashboard to better align with the scheduling rules that you defined, or you can change the scheduling optimization rules.

About this task

You can view scheduling issues from the main dashboard, or from within individual schedules.

Procedure

  1. On the Scheduling dashboard, open the schedule that you want to view.
  2. On the Scheduling issues card, click the number.
The Issues tab opens. Use the table filter to group issues by category.
  3. For each row in the Results table, expand the error message to determine why the work record was not scheduled. Update the values to fix the scheduling issue. Repeat for each row in the Results table.
  4. From the Actions menu, select Optimize schedule.
  5. In the Optimize schedule window, update scheduling rules as needed. Click Optimize schedule.
The optimization runs, and schedules the work records that had scheduling issues.
  6. When you are satisfied with the schedule, publish it to the Work Order Tracking application. From the Actions menu, select Publish schedule.
