Scheduler Data Manager application

By using the Scheduler Data Manager application to validate a schedule or work list's data before scheduling or assigning work, you can ensure that data best practices are followed.

You can access the application from the Administration application menu, or from within the following applications:
  • Graphical Scheduling
  • Graphical Scheduling - Large Projects
  • Graphical Assignment
  • Graphical Work Week
Sometimes, data that is valid in an IBM® Maximo® Asset Management environment might not be conducive to scheduling. For example, the following work records might cause scheduling issues:
  • Work records that have no planned labor.
  • Work records that have a schedule window, like a Start No Earlier Than or Finish No Later Than date, that is in the past or outside the schedule calendar.
  • Work records that have planned labor requirements that do not match your schedule. For example, the work requires three electricians, but your schedule only has access to two.

By validating the data in a schedule, you ensure that the included work records have better scheduling results. When a violation is found you can take corrective action in the Schedule Data Manager application to update the work record and correct the error.

Only work records can be validated by the Schedule Data Manager application. Preventive maintenance records are not evaluated.
