Managing users and groups

You create users in Maximo® Application Suite and you can edit their person records. The created users are synchronized to Maximo Manage through a cron task. All user privileges and security groups must be configured using the Security Groups application in Maximo Manage. If you are migrating from Maximo Asset Management, your existing users are migrated to Maximo Application Suite and synchronized to Maximo Manage.

Note: Starting in Maximo Application Suite 9.1, you can manage users and create and assign security groups in Suite security. For more information, see Users and security groups in Maximo Application Suite 9.1. To provide specific information for Maximo Manage users, you can update the record in Maximo Manage.
