Revision plans for clearances
By using revision plans, you can save and reuse portions of a clearance boundary. Revision plans allow for changing plant conditions, and the fluctuating availability of personnel on the operations teams and the maintenance teams.
Revision plans and template clearances
You can create a working or an admin clearance directly from a template clearance that contains revision plans. If the template clearance is in Draft status, the revision plans are created in Draft status, regardless of the individual statuses of the revision plans on the template clearance. If the template clearance is in Waiting for Approval status, the revision plans will be created in the status they hold on the template clearance, retaining the approvals of the original record. Additionally, the accountability information for the users who approved the Draft status or the Waiting for Approval status revision plans is also carried over to the newly created working or admin clearance.
Related work orders in revision plans from the originating template clearance are not carried over to the newly created working or admin clearance.
Duplicated clearances
If you duplicate a clearance, you can use the revision plans that are available on the new clearance. For example, if you defined specific tasks to be followed during a system outage or during a refueling outage, you can reuse the revision plan from a duplicated clearance, or modify it to suit the needs of that particular environment.
When you duplicate a clearance, all of the revision plans and tags are copied to the new clearance. The revision plans on the duplicated clearance are created in Draft status. The user who duplicates the clearance is responsible for the Draft status revision plans. Tags are assigned new tag IDs. Related work orders from the originating revision plans are not copied to the revision plans for the duplicated clearance.
Used revision plans
- Revision plans cannot be used more than once on a clearance. Used revision plans are invalid.
- You can reuse a revision plan after you create a clearance from a template clearance, or after you create a clearance using the duplication process.
You can review the history of a revision plan by using the View Status History icon on a revision plan row.
Deletion rules for revision plans
- All revision plan tags that display are in Cancel status, or the tag row is deleted.
- All related work order rows within the revision plan are deleted.
You delete a revision plan in the Clearances (Nuc) application by selecting the revision plan on the Revision Plans tab, and then selecting the Mark Row for Deletion icon.
