Managing cron tasks

Cron tasks are behind-the-scene jobs that run automatically and on a fixed schedule. Predefined cron tasks support scheduling activities such as generating preventive maintenance work orders and reordering inventory items on schedules. Predefined cron tasks are provided, and you can also create your own cron tasks. In a multitenancy environment, the global administrator creates cron tasks and configures the servers that they run on. Tenants can create instances of cron tasks, and activate and deactivate cron task instances from running.
