Configuring the IoT Connector

Before you can use the IoT Connector, you must complete several steps to configure it.

Granting access to the IoT Connector
The IoT Connector in the Administration Work Center is available only to security groups that have permission to access it. Administrators must grant access to security groups that need permission to view the IoT Connector tab.
System properties for the IoT Connector
Two system properties are available for the IoT Connector wizard in the Administration Work Center.
Configuring the IoT historian cron task
If you connect to Watson™ IoT Platform, Maximo® Asset Monitor, or if you add another platform, you must configure parameters for the cron task instance that synchronizes data between your platform and the Maximo product before you can use the IoT Connector in the Administration Work Center.
