You can restore system level data from a full system backup.
Before you begin
Before you can restore system level data, you must have a full system backup of the current
version external to the Platform System Manager. You must be assigned the Hardware administration role with permission to Manage hardware resources (Full permission) to perform these steps.If the Platform System Manager is in "Protect
mode", the Platform System Manager should only be switched to "Protect
mode" after the restore if the backup that is used for the restore references instances that have
been updated to communicate with the Platform System Manager by using TLS
1.2.

Complete the following procedure to restore system level data.
Procedure

Follow the steps in Creating backup locations to add a backup location.

From the console, click .
Click the Refresh icon. The Restore table is displayed, showing
the available restore locations where backup data is stored.

Select a location from the Restore table by clicking the appropriate
radio button and then click Restore data.
The Restore Configuration window is displayed. The selected restore
location name is displayed.

Select System restore if it is not already selected for you.

Select your backup from the list and click Restore data to start the
restore operation.
A link to the System > Job Queue page is
provided so you can monitor the restore operation. During the restore process, the Platform System Manager user interface and services will go
offline, and will be restarted. Once the user interface is started, you can check the restore status
by looking at the job queue job. Note that all user interface IDs and passwords (including
admin) will be restored to the values at the time of the backup.
