Moving from on premises to containers within Content Cortex environment

If you already have an on-premises installation at V5.5.12 or later, you can add a container deployment to your existing clone of your Content Cortex domain from a traditional deployment.. You can also choose to upgrade your environment from your existing V5.2.x thru 5.5.3 on-premises installation level to a 5.5.8 container deployment. And then upgrade to a 26.0.0 container deployment.

About this task

If your current Content Cortex domain is supported by WebSphere® Application Server, you can add a container deployment or upgrade your environment to a container deployment.

If you are starting from V5.5.12 or later you can upgrade directly to the current version of Content Platform Engine.

If you are starting from a version between V5.2.1 and V5.5.8, you must upgrade to V5.5.12 first, and then upgrade to the current version.

It is recommended to update your starting version to the most recent fix pack level before you begin the upgrade.
