Testing basic SAML authentication

Test basic SAML authentication to ensure that SAML authentication works for accessing web applications.

1. Create a test user.
   1. Add an entry for the test user in the IdP directory and in the Domino directory. Set name mapping to link the two, if necessary.
   2. Create an explicit policy in the test user Person document. Do not enable Web federated login or Notes federated login in Security Settings.
   3. Use Policy Synopsis to verify that Web federated login and Notes federated login are not enabled.
2. Restart the HTTP task on Web servers. At the server console, type:

   restart task http

3. To test SAML authentication, from a browser, log in to a Domino application that requires authentication.
