Defining a banner page
Use this procedure to define a banner page to Output Manager. You must have already created the banner page contents in a PDS member.

To define a banner page:
Procedure
- From the Output Manager main menu, choose option A, Administrative Functions, and press Enter.
- From the Administrative Functions menu, choose option B, Banner Pages, and press Enter.

Specify search criteria, or leave the fields blank, and press Enter.
The resulting list is filtered by your search criteria. If no banner pages have been defined on your Output Manager system, a pop-up window is displayed that indicates no banner pages rows have been found. Press Enter.

Type ADD on the command line, and press Enter. The Create a Banner Page pop-up window is displayed.
Tip: Once a banner page has been defined, you can type
I(Insert) In the CMD column and press Enter to display the Create a Banner Page panel. - Required: In the Name field, type a name for the banner page. This name can be up to 24 characters in length.
- Required: In the Member name field, type the name of the existing PDS member that contains the banner page content. This name can be up to eight characters in length.
- Required: In the Data set name field, type the name of the existing cataloged data set (a PDS) that contains the specified banner page member.

In the Type field, indicate the banner type (or where the banner information will be printed in the output). The banner position is relative to the item to which the banner applies. The banner can apply to any of the following items (depending on the type of definition to which the banner definition is linked): a report, an entire report bundle, or a bundle recipient. Valid values are:
- Heading - Print the banner before the item to which it applies
- Trailing - Print the banner after the item to which it applies
- Both - Print the banner both before and after the item to which it applies
- Press Enter to save your entries. The Banners panel is redisplayed and lists the new banner page.
