Searching for a bundle recipient

From the Select a Bundle Recipient panel, you can search for the bundle recipient that you want to add to the bundle definition.

About this task

If you want Output Manager to apply the search criteria to the Select a Bundle Recipient panel the next time you display it, you can save the search criteria to your ISPF profile.

Tip: If you defined a large number of recipients, Output Manager might not be able to display all recipient IDs on the panel at one time. In this situation, you might want to define and save search criteria that includes wildcards to filter the list. When you need to view another subset of recipient IDs, you will need to edit the search criteria.

To search for a bundle recipient:

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Bundle Detail panel for the bundle definition for which you want to search for recipients.
Tip: On the Output Manager main menu, specify options A.N, Administrative Functions > Bundle Administration; from the Bundle Administration menu, choose option D, Bundle Definitions; and then select the bundle definition.
  2. At the command line, type ADD and press Enter. The Select a Bundle Recipient panel is displayed.
  3. In the Name field, type the name that is specified in a recipient ID for the bundle recipient that you want to add. This value can be up to 60 characters in length. The following wildcards are permitted: the asterisk (*) or percent sign (%) for zero or more trailing characters, or the question mark (?) or underscore (_) for a single character anywhere in the name. If you specify a wildcard pattern, Output Manager will find all recipient IDs that have names matching the pattern.
  4. In the Save Criteria? field, type Yes if you want to save the search criteria that you specified to your ISPF profile. Output Manager will then use the saved search criteria to filter the list of recipient IDs from session to session, until you change these criteria. If you want to use the search criteria temporarily (for a one-time search), accept the default value of No. Output Manager will filter the current list of recipient IDs and then clear the search criteria and revert to the last-saved values (if any) when you exit the Select a Bundle Recipient panel.
  5. Press Enter.
The Select a Bundle Recipient panel lists only the recipient IDs that match your search criteria.
Tip: After filtering the list, you can re-display all recipients by choosing option 2, List all, from the Search menu on the Select a Bundle Recipient panel.
