source control management, you can display all the checked out elements and
all the new elements that you have not added to source control.

About this task
To show checkouts
and files not added to source control:
Procedure
From the Solution Explorer, select one or more projects.
Right-click the selected project, and then click Show
Pending Checkins.
Optionally, perform any of the following tasks on the files:
Click the Check In button to check in all
files.
Right the Undo Checkout button to undo a
checkout of all files.
Click the Comment button to display the Comment
dialog box and add your comments to the files.
Click the Close button X to close the Pending
Checkins dialog box.
