Changes to CICS utilities

This section summarizes the changes to the CICS®-supplied utilities across supported CICS releases. Use this information to plan the impact of upgrading from one release to another.

If you are upgrading from an end-of-service release, you can find information about the changes that are relevant to those releases in Summary of changes from end-of-service releases.

Highlights of changes across supported releases of CICS TS

Table 1 lists changed utilities in each supported CICS TS release. The links take you to the relevant tables that describe changes to specific utilities by release.

Note: Dump utilities DFHDUxxx and DFHPDxxx and the CICS trace utility print program DFHTUxxx are renamed with a new release identifier every release, so they are not specifically listed in Table 1 unless they have other functional changes.
