Installation of OMEGAMON Web UI

To analyze and visualize data collected by OMEGAMON monitoring agents, you must install OMEGAMON Web UI.

OMEGAMON Web UI 2.1.0 is included as a component in Tivoli Management Services on z/OS in 6.4. It consists of OMEGAMON Gateway and OMEGAMON Data Requester, both components must be installed separately for full functionality.

To get started quickly, you can install OMEGAMON Web UI without integrating an OpenID Connect (OIDC) provider. This approach makes it easy to become familiar with the features and functions of OMEGAMON Web UI before you configure advanced security. Integrating OIDC may require additional configuration and coordination with your IT team because each OIDC setup can differ.

By starting without OIDC, you can quickly install OMEGAMON Web UI, access the starter dashboards, understand the product capabilities, and plan your security integration at your own pace. See Installation options.

When you are ready to enable secure authentication and authorization, integrate an OIDC provider such as Keycloak, Okta, IBM Verify, or any standards-compliant OIDC provider with OMEGAMON Gateway and ensure that Grafana is also integrated with the same OIDC provider.
