Informix Object Interface for C++ Guide

These topics describe how to develop IBM® Informix® client applications by using the object-oriented C++ programming language.

The IBM Informix Object Interface for C++ encapsulates IBM Informix features into an easy-to-use class hierarchy and extensible object library.

The Object Interface for C++ is documented in these topics. The DataBlade® API is documented in the IBM Informix DataBlade API Programmer's Guide. The GLS API, from which the Object Interface for C++ ITLocale class is derived, is documented in the IBM Informix GLS API Programmer's Guide.

These topic refer extensively to the example programs included with the Object Interface for C++.

To use these topics, you must know C++. Familiarity with the Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) is also helpful when working with the Object Interface for C++.
