Deleting a queue

An SI can delete a queue by running the Delete Queue process in the IBM® UrbanCode® Deploy Selfserv tool. This process can be run only in the development, QA, master-config, and pre-production environments.

Procedure

To delete a queue, complete the following steps:

  1. Access the IBM UrbanCode Deploy Selfserve tool dashboard.
  2. In the Applications tab, click the IBM Sterling Order Management System application. The Environments tab is displayed.
    This tab is the entry point to run processes for an application and displays all the environments that you can access.
  3. Click Image that shows the Request Process for the environment where you want to run the process.
  4. In the Run Process window, from the Process list, select Delete Queue.

  5. In the Queue Name field, enter the name of the queue that you want to delete.
    Notes:
    • A queue name can contain letters, numbers, and the following symbols: . / %
    • The queue is deleted for both the agent and integration components of the IBM MQ server.
  6. Click Submit.

Results

The process begins and the Process execution log screen is displayed where you can view the progress and status of the process and subprocesses. The log can be used for troubleshooting.
