Changing your preferences

You can set preferences to specify the user interface language and format of dates and times. Your preferences take effect immediately and are active until you change them.

Note: Your preferences for Self Service do not apply to any other user or to any other tool, such as environment-specific tools.

Procedure

To change your preferences, complete the following steps:

  1. Access Self Service.
    For the list of supported browsers, see Web browser support.
  2. In the toolbar, click the arrow that is next to your username. From the menu, select User settings.
  3. In the User settings dialog, update your preferences:
    Setting Description
    Language The language for text in Self Service. Available languages include American English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.
    Date/Time Format The format that Self Service uses to display dates and times. All times are in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
  4. Click Apply to update Self Service with your preferences.
    Your preferences are applied immediately.
