To create a custom common code type:

Procedure

  1. From the tree in the application rules side panel, choose Presentation > Custom Common Code Types. The Custom Common Code Types window displays in the work area.
  2. Choose the Create New icon. The Code Type Details pop-up window displays.
  3. In Code Type, enter the name of the custom common code type.
    Note: Value of the new common code type Maximum length is 15 characters. This value is automatically appended with .ex extension so that it does not conflict with the Sterling Order Management System-defined common codes. This value must be passed to the getCommonCodeList() API.
  4. In Short Description, enter a brief description of the theme.
  5. In Long Description, enter a more detailed description of the theme.
  6. In Maximum Code Value Length, enter the maximum length of a code value for this custom common code type. When users create code values for this common code type, they can enter values that have a maximum length of the value specified here.
  7. Choose the Save icon.
