To create a custom common code type:

Procedure

  1. From the tree in the application rules side panel, choose Presentation > Custom Common Code Types. The Custom Common Code Types window displays in the work area.
  2. Choose the Create New icon. The Code Type Details pop-up window displays.
  3. In Code Type, enter the name of the custom common code type.
    Note: Value of the new common code type Maximum length is 15 characters. This value is automatically appended with .ex extension so that it does not conflict with the Sterling™ Order Management System-defined common codes. This value must be passed to the getCommonCodeList() API.
  4. In Short Description, enter a brief description of the theme.
  5. In Long Description, enter a more detailed description of the theme.
  6. In Maximum Code Value Length, enter the maximum length of a code value for this custom common code type. When users create code values for this common code type, they can enter values that have a maximum length of the value specified here.
  7. Choose the Save icon.
