After a new index build is completed, you can activate it so that it can be used when
item searches are performed.
About this task
Note: Only
one index file can be active at a time for a catalog organization
and a subcatalog organization.
You can activate
the index from the Item Catalog Index List screen after running a
new or incremental search index build.
To activate
a search index file:
Procedure
- Navigate to the Item
Catalog Index List screen. To navigate to the Item Catalog Index List
screen, perform the following steps:

Log in to Sterling™ Business Center as an Item
Administrator.
- The application home page is displayed. Click the Products tab.
- From the Products home page,
click Manage Catalog Indexes from the Catalog dashlet.
The Item Catalog Index screen is displayed.
- Select the check box adjacent the corresponding
index you want to activate.
- Click Activate. This
button is enabled only if you have selected a record that is in the Complete status.
Note: When you activate an index,
the status of the index is displayed as Active.
The search index is activated.
