Granting user access to next-generation Order Hub

Assign administrator or planner permissions in next-generation Order Hub. Use this task to subscribe users to the UI and API groups that provide these permissions. These actions help ensure that users can access the features and settings that support their work.

About this task

Administrators assign administrator or planner permissions by subscribing users to the UI and API groups that control access in Order Hub. These permissions provide a way for users to manage settings, work with AI‑related features, and perform actions that support daily administration of the IBM Sterling® Order Management System (OMS) system. Add the required group memberships so that users can access the pages and actions that match their responsibilities.

Procedure

Complete the following steps to grant a user access to next-generation Order Hub.

  1. Log in to the Applications Manager. For more information, see Starting the Applications Manager.
  2. From the side navigation menu, select Applications > Applications Platform.
  3. Select Security > Users.
  4. Search for the username to verify that the user exists. If the user does not exist, see Creating a user.
  5. Right click and select Details.
  6. Subscribe the user to user groups that provide user interface and API access.
    1. Provide access to the next-generation Order Hub user interface.
By default, two user groups with the default resource permissions, OCAdminGroup and OCBusUserGroup are provided. In the Group subscriptions section, either select one of these groups or a custom group with next-generation Order Hub permissions. Move the user group to the Subscribed section by clicking the right arrow. For more information about user groups with next-generation Order Hub permissions, see Defining resource permissions for Order Hub.
    2. Provide access to Sterling™ Order Management System APIs.
The next-generation Order Hub calls the Sterling Order Management System APIs. To complete any actions in the user interface, you need the permission to access these APIs. By default, the GUEST user group is provided with the default resource permissions. Under the Group subscriptions section, select the GUEST group ID or a custom group with Sterling Order Management System API permissions. Move the user group to the Subscribed section by clicking the right arrow.
    Note:

To view the list of Sterling Order Management System APIs, download the .zip file. For more information, see Javadoc. The administrator can create a group with access to all or some of these APIs. However, the user groups that provide API access must include the next-generation Order Hub-related APIs getSBAWorkspaceList and manageSBAWorkspace, and the next-generation Order Hub-related services SBANodeMetrics and SBAManageOrgAlertData.
