Creating projects

You can create and manage projects within a tenant in webMethods Integration to structure and configure your integrations.

Procedure

  1. Click + to create a new project in webMethods Integration.
  2. In the dialog that opens, enter a suitable name for the project that you want to create.
Note: Default and All are reserved keywords and cannot be used as project names.
  3. In Source Control - Git server/account, select the source control name of the Git account that has access to the repository. For more information, see Linking Git repository to projects.
  4. Click Create.
This creates a new project. You can now start creating workflows and flow services inside this project.

Results

A project is created. All projects appear as cards on the webMethods Integration home page.
Note:
  • Starting with the October 2025 release, new tenants will no longer have a Default project provisioned automatically. You must create a project manually after logging in for the first time.
  • Existing tenants will retain their current Default project, and you will still be unable to delete or rename it as before.

What to do next

You can manage the project by selecting the respective option in the overflow menu on the project card.

Edit
To edit the project details.
Delete
To delete a project. In the Confirm Delete Project dialog, you need to enter Delete <project_name> to confirm and proceed with the deletion. Make sure that the project name exactly matches the original name that you used when you created the project, including the correct case.
Important: The deletion is irreversible. Once deleted, the project and all its associated data, including workflows, flow services, and assets, are permanently removed.
